Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs aimed at preventing diseases and promoting health in communities.
• Lead vaccination campaigns, nutrition programs, and disease surveillance efforts.
• Coordinate public health emergency responses, including managing outbreaks of infectious diseases
• Monitor and analyze health indicators to assess the effectiveness of health interventions.
• Develop and advocate for public health policies that address key health issues such as chronic diseases, maternal and child health, and environmental health.
• Collaborate with government bodies, healthcare providers, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to implement public health regulations and standards.
• Plan and implement preventive health strategies, including vaccination programs, sanitation, and health education campaigns.
• Work to control communicable diseases through surveillance, outbreak investigation, and appropriate responses.
• Lead health promotion initiatives focused on reducing risk factors for non-communicable diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
• Conduct research on public health issues, including epidemiology, social determinants of health, and healthcare delivery systems.
• Analyze health data to identify trends, risk factors, and emerging public health threats.
• Prepare reports and recommendations based on research findings to inform public health policy and interventions.
• Develop and deliver public health education campaigns on topics like nutrition, infectious diseases, mental health, and environmental health.
• Work with schools, businesses, and community organizations to promote healthier behaviors and lifestyles.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals in the design and delivery of public health services.
• Collaborate with international health organizations, local healthcare providers, and community leaders to improve health outcomes.
• Advocate for public health within the community and healthcare settings.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) with specialization in Public Health or Preventive Medicine.
  • Specialization degree in Public Health (MPH)
• Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, or health policy development.
  • Experience working in government health agencies, international health organisations, or large healthcare facilities is beneficial.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of epidemiology, public health principles, and preventive medicine.
  • Ability to analyse data and apply findings to health interventions and policies.
  • Leadership skills to manage public health programs and teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for health education and policy advocacy.
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and global health issues and trends.
